 SECTIONS:

Two recently published authors, Nick Morgan and Michele Gelfand, will be presenting their books at the 2019 FEIAA Executive Forum.

Morgan will be presenting on Can You Hear Me? How to Connect with People in a Virtual World. With this book, he creates a new set of rules and practical tips for how to connect with people—your team, your audience, your organization—when you can't be physically present. He argues that virtual communication breeds misunderstanding because it deprives us of the emotional knowledge that helps us understand context. Morgan provides a clear path forward for helping us better connect with others.

Gelfand will be presenting on Rule Makers, Rule Breakers: How Tight and Loose Cultures Wire our World. In her book, she takes us on a journey through human cultures, offering a new view of the world and ourselves. Gelfand shows that much of the diversity in the way we think and act derives from a key difference—how tightly or loosely we adhere to social norms. She provides us with clarity on various actions and attitudes that we experience and observe both at work and in community life.

Each Forum attendee will receive copies of Morgan’s and Gelfand’s books as part of their registration package.
