FEIAA Update: Maintaining Financial Fitness as We Grow

Active Membership! Financial Fitness! Answering the Call!
 
Every successful organization depends on a strong and active membership that supports its goals and the effective management of its financial resources. The Finance Committee is answering the call to ensure that the Federal Executive Institute Alumni Association (FEIAA) is financially fit and around for another 50+ years! 

To this end, the committee is coordinating a financial review to assess existing internal controls and determine if any additional measures are needed to ensure that processes and records are transparent and easy to understand. We are also ensuring that the necessary checks and balances for managing and authorizing the operating budget, contracts, agreements, and payments are in place. Further, the committee is developing protocols that give the various committee chairs greater insight into the budget process and increased accountability for managing committee budgets. Thus, each committee will receive an operating budget for its chair to execute, with oversight by the Finance Committee. 

Who are the Finance Committee members answering the call, you ask? Dr. Glenda Arrington (LDS 434), Board Member-at-Large; Ms. Sharnell Montgomery (LDS 435), Board Member-at-Large; and Dr. Quinta Spear (LDS 447), Board Treasurer and Chair. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Finance Committee, and they look forward to working with and on behalf of the full FEIAA membership.
