Abe has spent over (15) years in federal service within a number of leadership roles, most recently serving in the Senior Executive Service as the Deputy Administrator of the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion, within the Food and Nutrition Service at the U.S Department of Agriculture, where he leads CNPP’s mission to improve the health and well-being of Americans by developing and promoting dietary guidance that links scientific research to the nutrition needs of consumers. Prior to federal service, Abe served in executive roles in healthcare administration, higher education and management consulting.

Abe received a B.S. in Occupational Therapy from Tuskegee University, a Master of Health Administration from the Ohio State University, and an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard University. Abe is a certified Project Management Professional, a certified Federal Acquisition Project/Program Manager and a Certified Mediator and Trainer. Abe is a native of Cleveland, OH.
