Happy New Year!
By KimOanh Nguyen-Lam, FEIAA Vice President, P382

We hope that 2019 will bring you much happiness, health, and great fulfillment in all your personal and professional endeavors. We at the Federal Executive Institute Alumni Association (FEIAA) look forward to offering you a year full of interesting activities and meaningful opportunities to support your leadership development.

We are happy to share with you our newly developed FEIAA Value Proposition for 2019. According to Wikipedia, a value proposition is a promise that value that will be delivered, communicated, and acknowledged. It is also a belief on the part of the customer of how value (i.e., benefit) will be delivered, experienced, and acquired. Over the past several months, FEIAA has been developing its own value proposition, and now we want to share it with our members:

FEIAA is the member-led alumni association of the Federal Executive Institute (FEI). Our diverse members include Federal professionals from throughout the United States. FEIAA members take advantage of our educational resources, professional networks, and training opportunities to continue their post-FEI advancement toward executive leadership and contributing to a democratic society. Our online and face-to-face activities and resources include a state-of-the art interactive website, the e-newsletter Executive Summary, the monthly webinar series, the annual Executive Forum, and many professional and social networking opportunities throughout the year. Join us so you can rekindle the FEI passion and ambition to make a difference as you journey on your leadership path.

The Board of Directors invites you to comment on the above value proposition so that it fully reflects your aspirations for your FEIAA experiences. One of our goals this year is to increase our members’ engagement by soliciting your input whenever possible. Your opinions and suggestions will help us better meet your professional development interests and needs. We hope that you will take time to share your input and comments on our value proposition and to participate in occasional surveys and queries during the year.
