The Holidays Are Here!

Happy Halloween! Where has the time gone? As we start the new fiscal year (2019) and observe the plethora of decorations, sales, and gifts for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and even Christmas (68 days from this publication date), it is time again to prepare for the holidays, get in that use-or-lose leave, rake or blow leaves, and prep the house and ourselves for the winter. That may sound a bit ominous, but do not fret! The Federal Executive Institute Alumni Association (FEIAA) has more than a few events that should spark or peak (depending on where you’re from) your interests. They are:

  • The Federal Executive Institute (FEI)’s 50th Anniversary Celebration in Charlottesville, VA, October 17, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. FEIAA is donating the cake, napkins, plates, and a 50th Anniversary knife. We will also be selling items from the store and recruiting new members.
  • An FEIAA gathering or meeting at a DC watering hole in early November. Watch your email for the exact date, time, and location.
  • FEIAA Holiday Celebration: December 7, 2018, noon, Meiwah Restaurant, 1200 New Hampshire Ave., NW, Downtown DC
  • Annual Wreath LayingWreaths Across America at Arlington Cemetery: December 15, 2018, at Arlington Cemetery

Please send me your aspirations and ideas for the forum, this newsletter, and timely topics at office@feiaa.org or directly to me at peter.s.duklis@hud.gov.
