Four Reasons Why the FEIAA Forum May Have Changed the Way You Look at Everything!
By Deb Schweikert (LDS P272)

The Federal Executive Institute Alumni Association (FEIAA) Forum is over… and what a fantastic forum it was! What we learned over the course of the day was phenomenal. If you missed it, here are four highlights.

Communications Committee Focuses on Improving Connections with FEIAA Members
As Abe Brown, vice president of FEIAA’s Board, described in last month’s Executive Summary, at the 2019 FEIAA Retreat, the Board of Directors focused on ideas to achieve membership growth and retention.

Book Review:
Can You Hear Me? How to Connect to People in a Virtual World, by Nick Morgan
Nick Morgan was our opening speaker at the 2019 FEIAA Executive Forum on May 21, 2019. Having read his latest book on virtual communication, I greatly anticipated hearing him speak—and he didn’t disappoint!

2019 Executive Forum by the Numbers
On behalf of the entire FEIAA Board of Directors, we, the 2019 FEIAA Executive Forum Steering Committee would like to offer a big shout of THANKS and APPRECIATION to all 2019 Forum attendees.

Wellness News:
Diabetes 101
Diabetes is a disorder characterized by higher-than-normal levels of sugar (glucose) in the blood. Insulin is a naturally occurring hormone that helps break down glucose and make this energy source available for the body’s many functions.

FEIAA Happenings:
Welcoming a New Member to the FEIAA Board of Directors
Sharnell Montgomery is a graduate of FEI’s LDS 435. She ran in the most recent Board election and has agreed to join us to finish out a departed member’s term.

FEI Happenings:
FEI Footsteps Classes
FEI is excited to offer a great program this summer for continuing professional leadership development. This is a fantastic opportunity to get out of the classroom and expand your perspective.

FEIAA Announcements:
Join Us on Our Social Media Platforms!
The Board of Directors of FEIAA wants to more fully engage members using social media. The Communication Committee has taken on this effort by expanding our outreach through LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
